We had a great start to the year at Angela and David’s wedding on the 1st January, Emma started off with Angela and her bridesmaids Alisha Hughes, Aine Grogan, Aoife Nash and Julie Conlon getting ready in Dundalk and I was with David and his Best men Redmond Condon, Tom Harney, John O’Loughlin and Niall Frawley getting ready in The Four Seasons Hotel Carlingford.
We headed to St Josephs Redemtorist Church in good time and got some pictures of the men before Angela arrived. The church looked amazing with all the Christmas flowers and decorations along with the flowers from D’Arcy Flowers. Then the moment everyone was waiting for, the bride arrived looking absolutely stunning with her dad. The Dundalk String Trio started playing and everyone’s heads turned to see the Angela and her dad Charlie enter the church for that walk up the isle to David .
Fr Thomas Flynn put everyone at their ease and we got on with ceremony. We had the lighting of candles, readings from Patrick McDaniel and Brian Deegan. We then had the exchange of vows, there were smiles all over the church as Angela and David got married and of course the first kiss. We then had prayers of the faithful from Laura. Steve, Eve, Darragh, Siobhan, Ronan Louise, and Brian.
The two mums Rose and Patricia took the offertory gifts to the alter, Karyn Jones McCooey Vocalist and Dundalk String Trio provided beautiful music throughout the ceremony before the communion reflection read by Angela’s brother Cathal.
Se Josephs church looked absolutely beautiful in the photographs we took after the wedding before heading to The Four Seasons Hotel Carlingford for the reception.
Unfortunately it rained and was very windy when we arrived at hotel but we did get one picture outside and with the pictures inside we came away very happy from our first wedding of 2016
