On August 29th we had a great day at Eimear McGuinness and Daniel Fenton’s wedding. The day started off very early with Emma at Eimear’s house for breakfast which was provided by Bellas Tea Rooms, a bit later I met up with Daniel getting ready with his bestman Sean Murphy ,groomsmen Brian Kindlon ,Robbie McGahon and David McGuinness. There was lots of excitement when mum Geraldine came in after having her hair and makeup done and the Champaign was opened by dad Daniel.
Meanwhile back with the bride Emma was taking photos of Rita O’Brien hair stylist and Sarah Murphy make-up artist working very hard before Eimear put her dress on. There were emotional scenes when Eimear came down stairs to be meet by her dad Niall.
Bridesmaids Sarah Canning, Samantha Fox, Carol Callan, Denice Fenton, Flower girl Ava Dullaghan and Pageboy Jake Canning were ready and headed to St Patricks Cathedral before our bride and very proud dad left house for church.
Guests were arriving and Daniel and his men were in place for the arrival of Eimear. Fr Mark O Hagan met the bride and calmed everyone down before the grand entrance to the beautiful music by Brendan McCourt and singing by Susan Dixon.
St Patricks Cathedral is a beautiful church and as you can see from the picture of bride with dad showed it off to its best and the flowers by D’arcy flowers Dundalk were stunning on the alter.
We had lighting of candles, readings from Linda Short and Grainne Short before the most important part of the day, the exchange of vows, Fr Mark O’Hagan got everyone into place and we were ready for the marriage ceremony, after exchanging rings we had the first kiss and lots of applause from the guests.
Prayers of the faithful followed from Liam Dullaghan, Joe Canning, David McGuinness, Ryan and Jordan McCartney before two dads Niall and Daniel took up the offertory gifts.
Before signing of register we had the communion reflection by Bronagh Gaynor. We took a group picture from the balcony before leaving church.
Gerry Duffy our videographer got our bride and groom into place at door of church for them to greet their family and guests.
We then made the trip to Cabra Castle for the reception, the grounds are beautiful at the castle and we made the best of them on a very sunny day. The interior is just stunning with the Gold room and stairs featured in a lot of our pictures. The picture on the stairs shows off the wonderful brides dress from Modern Fashions Dundalk.
We finished off with cutting of the cake which was made by Kathleen Canning.
We would like to wish Eimear and Daniel the best of luck for the future.
