We just finished a great month of Wedding Fairs, thinking back at the most popular questions we were asked and here was the top 5
5th Price. This was a surprise that it was so far down the list, but we were not asked this as much as would think.
4th The Venue. Have we done weddings in their chosen church and venue. We have done weddings in most of the hotels, houses or Castles in our area and anyone we got emails from we sent them out links to pictures for their venues. If couples book us for places we have not photographed we take a trip and pick out the best spots just like Martina and John’s wedding in Mount Juliet in Kilkenny last year https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.885619741474798.1073741934.105610882809025&type=3
3rd Do we do video. The answer to this is no, we think you should concentrate on what you do best and for us its photography, we leave the video to people who specialise in this. Your wedding photographs and video will be handed down from generation to generation and its just common sense not to take chances with these memories that you won’t be able re create
2nd Other wedding suppliers. Yes this came in 2nd, we were surprised ! After photographing weddings for so long we have become experts on which car to book, what flowers to have ,what type of dress will suit, colour bridesmaids dresses, suit hire for men and a lot of the couples have asked us about which hotels or castles would be best for photographs and the service they provide on the wedding days.
Ist Two photographers. This is something we have been saying every wedding should have, but a word of warning just because someone has a camera doesn’t mean they are a photographer. Emma and I are qualified, insured and registered photographers; both of us are Associates of The Irish Professional Photographers Association.
Two questions we were surprised not to be asked
How do I pick my pictures for the album? We take anything from 300 to 700 pictures at weddings and our albums are priced to take 100, so how do you get them down to this ? I don’t believe you should be given a disc or memory key with your pictures on and told to send back 100 numbers, this is very unfair for you, and you will need help. We give you a cinematic experience with projector, large screen and much needed advice which pictures will suit for album, we top this off with drinks, popcorn and sweets for your enjoyment, this can take up to 3 hours if you wish, remember the album is what you will be left with so it is very important to get it right.
How do I contact you, If the only contact you have is a mobile phone number, be careful, you need to have an address that you can call to and chat about your wedding. We have a studio in Dundalk that is open 5 days a week and we take appointments for the times we are not there.
Below is a selection of pictures we took at some of last years weddings
