Why do you need two photographers at your wedding?
Having two photographers doesn’t mean you are going to have twice as many pictures it means that they work together and you get the best pictures.
Lets start at the beginning, we have a bride and a groom and sometimes the groom is forgotten, we think this is wrong. You expect pictures of the bride getting ready with her bridesmaids, but you should also have pictures of the groom. We also think it is appropriate to have a female take the pictures at the bride’s house and a male at the groom’s house.
The Ceremony (regardless of church or hotel)
The Groom arrives before the bride and needs to have his picture taken before the bride arrives, the bride needs to have pictures taken at house before she leaves, this can only be done by two photographers unless the bride is ready 30 to 45 minutes before wedding, which doesn’t really happen
The bride arrives at the church and generally, is very nervous and she doesn’t want to hang around, so pictures have to be taken very quickly but have to be taken correctly. With two photographers one sets up the picture and the other one takes it, which is much quicker than just one photographer by him or herself.
So the moment everyone has been waiting for the bride walking up the aisle, churches do not have wedding co- ordinat0rs to tell bridesmaids when to walk or to fix the brides dress , if there is only one photographer, the chances are that he or she will be at top of the aisle taking pictures and not helping the bride. The photographer at the back of church will get pictures of back of the dress and the members of the congregation looking on, and of course the groom getting the first look at his bride .The photographer at the top of aisle will get the emotion of the bride and the families
The most important part of the day, the ceremony, we feel you need two photographers to cover all angles, you don’t want to have a photographer running about to get the different pictures, it takes away from the ceremony.
At the reception or location two photographers when working together are quicker and look after their couples better. The amount of equipment that has to be carried to get the best results needs two people.
